Copy and paste the copy below into the teleprompter.

HOST: TD- Standby to DISSOLVE to cover shot. DISSOLVE to cover shot.
Camera 1- You should be on an MCU of me.

TD: Standby to DISSOLVE to Camera 1 – DISSOLVE to Camera 1

HOST [to Cam 1]: Hello, I'm _________________,
Welcome to the Studio 5 Camera Challenge- an exercise designed to test (annoy, torture) our camera operators. I’ll warn you now, the results might not be pretty.
Today I get to serve as both host and director, so I get to tell everybody what to do- like this: Audio, slowly fade the music out underneath my next few lines.

HOST: Camera 1 should be showing a MEDIUM CLOSE-UP of me. Camera 1- are you listening? Please nod if you are.

OK - Camera 1 - Start zooming out to a wide shot, showing me and the set pieces. To do it right, one has to adjust for the changing headroom.

Let’s give Camera 3 a shot next. Camera 3- Make sure you have a Medium Close-Up of me.

TD, Ready Camera 3, Take 3. [Host turns to Camera 3]
HOST: Camera 3 should have a MEDIUM CLOSE-UP of me. Camera 3, are you on your shot? Get ready to zoom in to an Extreme Close-Up!

Camera 3 should now start zooming in to an EXTREME CLOSE-UP of me. How is that? Is it extreme?
Now we’re going to go back to Camera 1, but before we do let’s give them a chance to get another MEDIUM CLOSE-UP. Camera 1- Please get another medium close-up of me.

TD – Ready Camera 1, Take 1

HOST [TURN to CAM 1]: OK! Camera 1 here should be showing you a MEDIUM CLOSE-UP. Now they’re about to try a tough shot called a FOLLOW FOCUS. They’ll try to maintain this medium close-up while I walk towards the camera. The trick is to know which way to turn the focus ring. Check it out. [SLOWLY WALK TOWARD CAMERA 1 and PAUSE on MARK]

HOST: Camera 3- Get a MEDIUM SHOT of me. Are you on the medium shot? TD, Ready Camera 3, Take 3. [Host turns to Camera 3]

HOST: Camera 3 should have a MEDIUM SHOT of me and is about to demonstrate LEAD ROOM. As I walk back to my starting position, the camera operator should frame a little more room in front of me than behind me. Let’s see. [HOST WALKS back to ORIGINAL POSITION] TD- Ready Camera 2, Take Camera 2

HOST [to Cam 2]: I’m talking to Camera 2 but Camera 1 over there is about to try a RACK FOCUS between these three items. It looks challenging, but it’s pretty easy if the lens is zoomed in all the way. Camera 1- Zoom in all the way to the closest item and follow my directions to focus on the different items.

TD – Ready Camera 1, Take 1.

First we have the ________, then the ____________ and finally our _______________.

TD- Ready Camera 2, Take 2.

HOST: Next will be Camera 3 with a shot of this picture.
Camera 3 – Zoom into the picture until it fills the entire frame. OK? TD- Ready Camera 3, Take 3.

HOST [to Cam 3]: Camera 3 should be zoomed in on this picture. If they’re doing it right, it should be filling the entire frame.
Camera 3 - Start slowly zooming out now, until I’m in the frame along with the picture. How was that? Was the ride smooth or a little bumpy? Do I have proper headroom?

Audio- Sneak in some outro music.

Well we've reached the end of our Studio 5 Camera Challenge. Thanks to our camera operators and crew and thank you for watching.

Stick around and check out our next set of camera operators. Until then, I'm __________ for the Studio 5 Camera Challenge.

TD- Standby to Dissolve to our title graphic. Dissolve to title graphic.

Audio and TD- Stand by to fade everything out. 3, 2, 1 - FADE OUT.
